Wade Burleson has challenged everyone to a little essay contest…

Get your thoughts together, and let him know what you would do if you were president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Yes, there will be prizes.

    Yes indeedy, do enter the contest. I did.

    I should have pointed out that my second essay was the humorous one, but that might seem tacky.

    Enjoyed meeting you at GB. But then, at my age, I enjoy meeting anyone anywhere.

    I enjoyed meeting you as well, Bob. Meeting so many wonderful people such as you was, at least to me, the highlight of the convention.

    As for Wade’s little contest? I enjoyed both of your responses! Now I’ve gotta get an entry or two put together. After all, with Wade’s glowing introduction (“People like those pictured here … are just a sampling of the number of young men and women who are charting the course of our convention for decades to come. Any of them would make a great SBC President.”), people would surely be disappointed if they didn’t hear what kind of wonderful ideas I’ve got for our convention. Or not! :)

    Feel free to pirate ideas from either of my essays. I’d shy away from BOOZE to start, though (that ought to get readers wondering).
