Reason to Rejoice
January 27th, 2008 | Posted in » Church Stuff..., My Life / Family, Prayer Requests
I don’t know about you, but often times Sunday church services are rather routine. Not so today.
Shane Sanderson (from Southside Youth Outreach) preached a powerful gospel message today at Missouri Valley, and several people came to saving faith in Christ! I was privileged to have the opportunity to lead two boys (Tanner and Tucker) in this decision.
Talk about reason to rejoice!
It was an exciting day at the Valley for sure.
I would like to ask each of you to pray for Tanner and Tucker, specifically that today’s decision will be followed up in the coming weeks and months by growth in their faith, baptism as an outward public symbol of that faith, and a life marked by real commitment to following Jesus.

Yes, yes, yes! That’s awesome! I’m very excited!
I am so thankful to hear about God’s movement at Missouri Valley.

Hi, I too know Shane Sanderson. I was involved in the 90s with Youth for Christ. Which was a Kansas City Based youth ministry. Shane was a great friend, mentor, and second father to me. I am trying to find him. I would greatly appriciate any info you might have in reaching him. I can be reached at appletonk@yahoo.com. My name is Kristy Appleton. Shane has always been on my mind and helped me through every situation in my life. I miss him so much. I would really love to reconnect with him. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Kristy,
There’s a bit of contact information for Southside Youth Outreach on a portion of the Midland Ministries website (which should get you in touch with Shane). I should see him tomorrow, though, and I’ll make sure to get your contact information to him if I so.
God bless…

Thank you. I did call the Midland Ministries line and left a voicemail. I wasn’t sure how old the website I viewed was though. I did call his father last year in Oak Grove (as I attendended his church.), but I chickened out on calling Shane. It has been many years and although I owe a great deal to him, I wasn’t sure if he would remember me. Well I have shaken the nerves off and decided to get in touch with him no matter what. I live in AZ now and if you could pass along the info I will be in church as well until noon here and then until 7pm, so we are 2 hours behind you so if he could give me a call anytime around these hours or just email. I will send you my number through my email. Thank You.
