Despite the fact that we've heard "Faith isn't about your feelings", we do still have them. Peg and I have both had cancer, so we're in touch with the reality of that. The remainder, well, let;s just say we've been through bigtime depression, job loss, etc, too.

But what we know is what we know. And it's not based on how we feel. However you feel right now is just how you're supposed to feel. God designed you that way.

Faith didn't keep the apostles out of the storm when Jesus sent them out onto the lake, but Jesus saw them through it, and it changed their lives. When He calmed the storms, that was the first time they'd ever worshiped Him. When you see that Jesus has brought you .. past tense .. through these trials He warned us about, you'll be in a position to worship as never before.

And we know what we know .. that the Bible is true, and that you can make your decisions based on its truths, no matter how you feel.

We're all mechanically assisted, you know. We don't walk everywhere. We don't eat only what we grow.

There's nothing wrong with getting mechanical to hear any more than there is to mechanically assist our eyesight.

Me? I've got two titanium knees, too. I'm a lot more Steve Austin than you are.....

God does give grace to cope, and prosper in attitude, too, if one want it.

Seriously, He does.

I had prostate cancer in 2008. Could have had radiation implants but the only church friend who'd had PC too had that done, and it came back. So I told the doctor to take it out, which they did.

Long story short, it'd gotten into a lymph node. Surgeon said hormone treatment .. Lupron .. could stall it for years but I asked him if he'd tell his own dad to get radiation, if he liked his dad. He said yes, he would. So I had radiation .. 39 tomotherapy radiation doses, the only downside being that whatever state of continence you start that with, you're going to end with. So I still do have some issues with it.

Nothing that cannot be managed. So I made light of it. I told friends I asked the surgeon what kind of underwear I should use after, and he said depends...". I said "on what" and he said "No ... DEPENDS".

Like I said, God gives grace. He's got more than we can handle.
