Chiefs Youth Movement… (Episode 8)
November 2nd, 2008 | Posted in » KC Chiefs
Picture this… your favorite team jumps out to a 21 point lead at the direction of a hot-handed quarterback, a solid running game, a stout defense, and some creative play-calling. Leading 24-3, things look good… it looks to be your team’s day.
Not if your a Chiefs fan. We should know better by now, right?
Talk about a frustrating day to be a Chiefs fan. This is two weeks in a row we’ve had a great chance to pull out a win, only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
At least the young guys do seem to be stepping up a bit. Thigpen looks to be developing… Jamal Charles looked great today (we really ought to just ditch LJ!)… the defense even managed to have a decent day stopping the run, with some of the young guys making key plays.
Who knows… perhaps it’s a bit of a negative tack on things, but the Chiefs are definitely still in the running for the #1 overall draft pick. If we can grab some more talent in the draft and add a few free agents that fit, perhaps we’ll be competitive again next year.

Don’t worry… I’m sure Herm knows what he’s doing.
